Author Support – M.E. Aster

I’m going to try and do a daily blog post sharing my appreciation to some wonderful authors I’ve come to know lately! They’re all going to be from my #WRITEboyslove family (over on Twitter) and I can’t wait for you to get to know them too!

Today’s post is all about M.E. Aster. I asked them 4 questions (the same I’ve asked everyone), and here are their answers!

Tell us a bit about yourself:

Hello everyone. I am M.E. Aster but you can all call me Mandy. I am a female to male transgender author who writes queer romance stories as well as the occasional poem. I started publishing in 2018 after recovering from cancer and wanting to leave something of myself behind and I have truly found my calling. I love writing and putting my stories out there in the world.

Now tell us about your stories:

I have three published books at the moment:

Three Halves of a Whole summary:

Andrew hasn’t spoken to his ex-boyfriend Riley in almost two years, until one fateful night when he receives a phone call from the other man that he finds himself unable to ignore. What will happen when rules are broken and a relationship that Andrew thought had died is given a chance of rekindling? Will things be different this time around…or will it all end in misery for a second time…

fairytales: a poetry collection summary:

This story isn’t all mine to tell, but it yearns to exist in some form of printed words. Since the more conventional method of narrating is barred to me, I choose to express this tale in a less traditional manner, to weave the events among pretty patterns in the hopes of portraying the emotions I need to share. This is a book about angels and fairies, love and hope, pain and loss, but most of all friendship. I hope you find beauty in this and that you always look for the silver lining in even the unhappiest of endings.

Take His Place summary:

James knows his relationship is falling apart but he’s not sure what to do about that fact.

He’s tried fixing it, but nothing works. He is reaching the point where he isn’t sure if he wants to repair the damage if he’s the only one putting in any effort.

But he’s not a cheater, and although he finds himself fascinated with a stripper named Logan he meets at a friend’s bachelor party, it’s just a passing crush…probably.

James continues to spend time with Logan while battling between his head and his heart. As he grapples with the monumental decision of potentially leaving his boyfriend, he finds answers to questions he never dared to ask before, as well as his place in his life regardless of whom he chooses to share it with.

Share an amusing event that happened to you:

Why do I always draw a blank when asked this question…hmm. Well the first thing that comes to mind is the story of my cat Snickers during this last winter storm we had. She loves tv…and I mean LOVES IT! I always leave the television on for her and she will meow at me when it is off. So this last February we had a huge snow storm that knocked out our power for over a week which of course means no television.

So in an attempt to calm her down and lull her to sleep, I would play the Greatest Showman soundtrack on my phone for her (it’s her favorite movie) and when my phone died I would sing her the songs until she fell asleep. Yes – my cat is weird!

And give me your links to your book/s:

Stay tuned for another author support post soon!
